AV Tech from 2017 That We Love

So far in 2017 we’ve seen some incredible audio-visual technology released that has the potential to revolutionise the industry as we know it. This week, Flightcase Warehouse is taking a look at just 4 of the standout products that the brains in AV have brought to us, plus the benefits they could offer if you’re a pro working in the industry.

Osprey’s Talon G2 Encoder:

Osprey has been known to create some stellar products in the past, and their new encoder is no exception. Designed for AV professionals, this Osprey encoder allows streaming to up to three separate destinations, enhanced by a touch screen LED interface. To top this off, the kit has built in security features that promise a streamlined user experience, as authorised credentials need not be re-entered following every stream thus saving heap of time when on a job. For more information, you can visit the Osprey website here.

Samsung’s LED Cinema Screen:

Whilst purists may question notion of a cinema screen that does not make use of a projector, Samsung’s new LED cinema screen promises richer colours, no loss of focus and a consistent sharpness that is hard rivalled by traditional projection means. The self-laminating screen has a peak brightness level of almost ten times that of conventional projectors – as well as the potential to be utilised in many different industries, such as AV, as well as traditional cinema. AV pros working in events and broadcasting may want to check out the enhanced experience these screens offer. To learn more, read the official release here.

Delta DLP 4K:

On the subject of broadcasting, Delta group (alongside its brand Vivitek) has unveiled a 4K DLP solution, that is touted as the ‘world’s brightest 4,000 lumen laser phosphor illumination source’. If this makes sense to you – and sounds like good stuff – you’re in the right place. With a spec comprising four UHD-4k cubes, the platform can manage multiple video sources on one display, streamline control of several different video displays or even send a single signal to multiple outputs. Visit the Vivitek website to learn more about this brand new platform we think has great potential.

Sony’s 4K Projectors:

Sony are well-known purveyors of quality products that have mass popularity, and their new range of 4k projectors promises to uphold this tradition. Using a laser light source, the projectors can sustain a total brightness of 4500 lumens for up to 12,000 hours – which is perfect for the meeting room sized spaces that the projectors are aimed at. Integrated with ‘Reality Creation’, the projector processes every single input to ensure that the final image represents the sharpest, and most lifelike image possible. Learn more on the official website here.

These are only a few of the vast number of diverse products released this year – this week, next week, or even last week could see technology released that remodels the AV industry completely. This tech though, is always expensive and exceptionally valuable to its owners. This is why at Flightcase Warehouse, we design and manufacturer tailor-fit flight cases that provide unbeatable protection for the latest kit.
